Program Details & Frequently Asked Questions
-
These trees are from Sunset Nursery in Yuma, AZ, which supplies nearly every nursery in town.
-
We’ll have grapefruit, oranges, lemons, limes, tangerines, tangelos, mandarins, and specialty citrus like calamondsi, kumquat, limequat, sour orange, and multi-grafted cocktail trees.
Final selections and inventories will be updated August 1st-2nd.
Due to how Sunset Nursery operates, there is a small chance that some varieties we order become unavailable by the time we place our final order.
If that is the case, we’ll offer substitutions as well as refunds.
-
All citrus are best grown in a warm-temperate climate.
Since Arizona is mostly desert, with some areas getting super hot, and other areas experiencing frost/freezing, please do your own research to confirm whether the varieties you desire will work in your USDA zone / region.
In our product descriptions, we will do our best to provide some general climate answers.
-
This is a PREORDER which means we don’t currently have any trees in hand. They will be arriving late September / early October for prime fall planting!
The last day to order 2026 wholesale citrus trees will be August 31st.
-
Free local pickup will be available from at least one location in the Phoenix area. Once that location is determined, it will be listed here, on the online store/checkout, and provided to everyone via email.
Paid delivery (and planting services) will be available throughout the Phoenix Metro Area; pricing will depend on the distance but will be similar to the Wholesale Deciduous Fruit Tree Program.
We’ll email the final date, location, and fulfillment instructions after Sunset Nursery inventory and the group-order schedule are confirmed.
-
If you are ordering far outside the Phoenix area, we recommend getting a few neighbors together to join the order and split the delivery or pickup costs. (e.g. renting your own enclosed trailer)
We will also help coordinate regional distribution as we do with the Wholesale Deciduous Fruit Tree Program each winter!
-
If you struggle to afford local nursery prices, or just want the best deals possible, this program is for you.
While we support locally owned nurseries every chance we get, we created our charity (and these programs) to make homesteading as accessible as possible for all.
Last year, we collected over $25,000 in pre-orders for the deciduous program, and we got so many requests for citrus.
-
We sure do. We want you to be fully confident in your investment into these trees.
We will offer delivery, planting, & ongoing care as additional services.
If you need help with planning the design of your planting layout, please request a consultation.
-
Yes, as with all earned-income charities, we earn net revenue from our operations.
However, our Wholesale Programs are intended to keep your final costs down as much as possible, so we run them just barely above our own costs. Therefore any supplemental donations are greatly appreciated!
-
We guarantee that we will only sell you living, healthy trees.
If you hire us to plant & steward your trees, we also guarantee their success and will replace anything that does not survive at no cost to you.
Beyond that, it’s up to you! Make sure you know what you’re doing. 😉
-
The last day for order changes and refunds will be August 31st. Email team@permascaping.com and we will review each request on a case-by-case basis.
(Don’t worry, we’re very understanding in reasonable situations.)
-
Please email team@permascaping.com with any other questions. We’re excited to have you in this group order!

“Is this something my landscaper can do?”
Most likely not.
Somehow the conventional landscaping industry made it to $175 billion/year knowing almost nothing about soil & plant health. We do offer paid training for your landscaper in an effort to upskill the community & scale our impact.
