Moringa
These conditions determine whether it will thrive.
Moringa is frost tender: leaves drop and burn around freezing, and a hard freeze kills the wood back to the ground. Mulched roots usually resprout in spring, but cover young trees and anything you want to keep tall when the mid-20s are forecast.
Leaves and wood: damaged below 32°FHeat loving and happiest in full sun, including west exposures. Summer is its fast-growth season, so just keep water deep and regular.

How to use it
How to help Moringa thrive
- 1
Cut the main stems back to 4 to 6 ft in early spring to keep leaves within reach and the tree bushy.
- 2
Wrap or cover young trees on frost nights; older trees that freeze back usually resprout.
- 3
Let the soil dry between waterings, especially in winter.
- 4
Harvest often; regular picking keeps new, tender growth coming.
