Pro service · Phoenix Valley, Tucson by arrangement
Planting and irrigation, installed
The right tree in the right spot, planted in amended soil with a berm, and connected to drip the day it goes in. One item at a time, or as a whole yard.
What we install
Everything that gets a plant from the pot to a thriving root system, and keeps it watered without a thought.

Trees and plants, planted right
A 15-gallon tree planted in amended soil, a berm built around it, mulched, and connected to irrigation the same day. 5-gallon bushes and 1-gallon plants go in the same way, placed by the sun’s path and the water so each one has what it needs to establish.

Drip, swing pipe, valves and timers
Longer-lasting drip tubing than most companies use, copper above ground instead of PVC wherever possible, and gardens and fruit trees on their own zones with WiFi timers, so nothing is ever over- or underwatered. A valve or zone installed, a section replaced with swing pipe, or a timer added to what you have.

Flood irrigation conversions
Berm and grade adjustments so the flood reaches the trees, and manual flood infrastructure converted to smart, timed systems. We leverage flood irrigation in ecologically friendly ways whenever the property has it.

Greywater to the landscape
Household water that would go down the drain routed to trees and basins instead, where deep roots use it. Part of the same watershed thinking as rainwater harvesting, designed for the plants that can take it.
Why planting right matters in the desert
Most soil in southern Arizona is dry as a bone a couple of inches down, even after heavy rain. A tree dropped into a hole in it is on its own. Four things change that.
Amended soil
Roots have somewhere to go, instead of stopping at hard, dry ground a few inches down.

A berm around the roots
Holds rain and irrigation where the roots are, instead of letting it run off.

Mulch on top
Keeps the ground from baking, so the water that got in stays in.
Drip from day one
Fruit trees and gardens on their own zones with a timer, so each gets the schedule it needs and nothing survives on the hose.
How it works
Pick the plants, we plant and connect them, and we stay around while they establish.

Pick the plants
Start with your address above for the three fruit trees that do best in your region, or lay the whole yard out in the planting planner. Bare-root trees from our wholesale program are preordered through December 1st and arrive in January or February. Already have plants waiting? We plant those too.

We plant and connect
Soil amended, berm built, tree set at the right depth, mulched, and a drip line run to it on its own zone with a WiFi timer. Valves, swing-pipe repairs, flood conversions and greywater lines are installed in the same visit when they are part of the plan.

We stay while it establishes
We never simply leave you to care for a new planting by yourself. Stewardship packages cover the first twelve months and beyond: full system checks, soil testing, strategic pruning and disease prevention, and irrigation inspection and small repairs. See the biannual, quarterly and monthly options.
How pricing works
Every item is quoted for your yard, and the estimate is free.
One item at a time
A single tree planted, a bush or a flat of plants, a valve or zone added, a section replaced with swing pipe, a garden bed, a worm bin or a WiFi timer. Each is quoted on its own when you ask.
Whole yards and systems
Full plantings, complete irrigation systems and flood conversions are estimated free after a site visit. Licensed, bonded and insured.
Cleanup in the same visit
Yard cleanup with on-site mulching or composting of non-toxic debris, and haul-off when you want it, with dump fees extra where they apply.
Plan it on your yard
Type your address and the planting planner opens on the satellite view of your property, with the trees and plants that fit your region ready to place.

Questions people ask before planting
What does "planted right" include?
A hole in the right spot for the sun and the water, soil amended so roots can spread, a berm built to hold rain and irrigation around the root zone, mulch, and a drip line connected the day the tree goes in. A single 15-gallon tree can be planted that way on its own; 5-gallon bushes and 1-gallon plants are planted the same way in multiples.
Do you do irrigation on its own?
Yes. A new valve or zone installed, a tired section replaced with swing pipe, or a WiFi timer added to what you already have can each be done on their own. Larger installs and full replacements are estimated free. Gardens and fruit trees go on their own zones so each gets the schedule it needs.
Can you convert flood irrigation?
Yes. We adjust berms and grades so the flood actually reaches the trees, and convert manual flood infrastructure to smart, timed systems. Flood irrigation is one of the Valley's best assets when it is used well.
What does it cost?
Each item is quoted for your yard, from a single tree planted to a full irrigation system. The estimate is free, and we are licensed, bonded and insured. Tell us what you want to grow and what irrigation you have now, and we come back with a number for exactly that.
Where do you plant and install?
The Phoenix metro first. Tucson and a little beyond when the job is worth the drive; ask, and we will tell you straight. Farther than that we can still design the planting and irrigation for you and say who we trust nearby.
When do the fruit trees arrive?
Bare-root fruit trees from our wholesale program are preordered through December 1st and arrive in January or February, the right time to plant them here. Container trees and plants can go in most of the year, with summer the hardest season to start.
