Queen’s wreath
These conditions determine whether it will thrive.
The vine freezes back around 30°F, but the roots are hardy to about 20°F and it regrows fast in spring. Not worth covering; just cut back the dead growth.
Leaves and wood: damaged below 30°FMade for hot spots. Full sun, west walls included.

How to help Queen’s wreath thrive
- 1
Install a structure capable of carrying a large seasonal canopy before planting.
- 2
Direct young stems onto the structure and keep them away from trees, roof edges, and utility lines.
- 3
Cut frost-damaged growth back after the danger of hard freezes has passed.
- 4
Remove unwanted runners promptly where spread beyond the intended bed would be a problem.
